@aburka it could be done but it's hard to maintain. For instance, the same should also be done with Friendica & Pleroma releases.
@apps Are you able to check the Mastodon server version so you know whether the media editing will work, or does the user have to know?
@aburka
Yes, it's pretty similar to user agent with JS.
But maybe, listening to 404 replies with a generic error message saying that the feature is not supported could improve the UX.
@apps Ugh yeah it sounds like the same kinds of issues from back when websites used to do user agent sniffing in JavaScript. Still it's better for the user if they know something is not going to work rather than getting an error message or a silent failure after the fact...
It's live on Google Play
@Minty95
You need to opt-in on our custom repo https://fdroid.fedilab.app
@apps
Not seeing the latest beta on Fdroid still only 3.15.2. Strange
@Piky_Nieves
Explanation is here https://mstdn.fr/@ButterflyOfFire/109762738742401196
Hey, @apps !
In the previous release you added a Compose shortcut that I can't see or understand.
Can you tell me what it is exactly about?
@fmmniell
It's a beta that is immediately available on our Fdroid repo ;)
@apps what about f-droid? :blob_upsidedown:
@fmmniell
They are beta releases so if you use our repo, you need to install manually as they are not flagged as suggested ones.
@apps why it doesn't show up in my f-droid app then? :blob_sad: i still see 3.15 as the latest version.
