     @ademan Maybe I’m missing something. I get your desire to help, but I don’t see why gun creators would care that much about setting up a peertube instance, beyond the ideological reasoning about independence from corporate interests.

     In terms of actual exposure, a peertube instance doesn’t help them.

     @ademan Your observations that rumble and odysee are inferior to youtube are correct.

     However, what would a random peertube instance have to offer over either of those other solutions that creators would find appealing? The answer is: nothing.

     @ademan Google has been garbage on gun issues for close to a decade now, but for most creators they’re better off just hopping on Odysee or Rumble. There is no benefit you can offer with a peertube instance that they aren’t getting with one of those other services. Content creators are looking for exposure, not just video hosting. A random peertube instance only offers the hosting.

     I don’t know what rumble offers, but odysee only supports monetization in their shitcoin (which I don’t know if they even do anymore since it was declared a security and they lost their lawsuit)

     So youtube is cracking down on gun content really hard right now, anyone interested in setting up a peertube instance for the purpose? No idea what a bare minimum setup might cost, but I’d contribute.
