   Whilst we iOS users celebrate the release of Ivory: what are the best Mastodon clients for Android? (I am of course aware of the official Mastodon app, from which I'm posting this.)

     Sadly, there's nothing dramatically, qualitatively better than the official app.

     My faves are Fedilab and Tooot.

     (Protip: You can turn the web app into a Chrome Web app which isn't all that great but has the virtue that once it's logged in it'll authenticate any other new clients you want to try.)

     @kylealden @evan @timbray @gruber https://semaphore.social/ has been started as a continuation from Pinafore, but I can't say any more about it other than it exists. I usually use Fedilab on Android. It has a lot of nice features

     @evan @timbray @gruber Pinafore.social is another good one that radically prioritizes performance and accessibility.

     It, alas, is recently unmaintained, but is still my preferred web app since it's installable to desktop on Windows/macOS in browsers that support PWAs.
