   In the last week we watched the Indian films “RRR” and “Baahubali 1 &2” and I cannot stop wondering how strange American cinema must be to everyone else in the world.

     @bkoehn It isn't strange, it's the world's cinema yardstick, for better or for worse. Any other cinema is compared to it, inspired by it, or intently rejecting it.
