   @Jean_Philippe_Micheaux @WashedOutGundamPilot @MelGibsonafter4Beers I’m not sure what it is, but there was a lasting factor back then.

   A lot of media now feels mass produced, tons of series are all a blur of the genre, and anything that sticks out just feels like a fleeting fad.

   Hard to get invested in anything, now that the new thing is just a season away.

     @Jean_Philippe_Micheaux @MelGibsonafter4Beers Yeah, like so many things in the japanimation sector, the things evangelion hints on and fosters in your imagination are often better than what it delivers.

     But it’s an enjoyable enough watch, with a story that gets a little more understandable as you get older and wiser.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @MelGibsonafter4Beers I can watch stuff like votoms, gundam and other boomer anime and still enjoy them hell i still watch bebop once a year almost. Just the newer stuff dosent have the same lasting power for me... im willing to admit I'm turning into a bitter old man yelling at clouds on this though.

     @MelGibsonafter4Beers They finally finished it?

     It’s very weird when you think about how we had nothing but the same 10 franchises year after year, you could have watched the original ending and yet you’re still excited to see this one too.

     Hopefully it’s better this time around.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Never thought he actually would , twas pot committed to actually watch the final installment as the first " Rebuild , " came out when I was a child and Anno had been leading me on for nearly 13 years.

     @MelGibsonafter4Beers @WashedOutGundamPilot I remember waiting for months for a 30th generation copy of a laserdisc vhs fansubs to come in the mail to watch the show. Idk if I’m just older but I was meh on the rebuild and the schizoid titles I wish they just would have done a tv show instead of taking 30 years to finish the film series. Still think Nadia was the best thing he’s ever done.
