sim@shitposter.club's status on Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 22:57:23 JST sim The idea that lesbians have dicks and you will accommodate that really does feel like gay conversion therapy. Really couldn't have destroyed lesbian rights any other way. -

sim@shitposter.club's status on Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 23:01:16 JST sim @polarisera It was happening even back then? I hadn't realised it has a long history. Perhaps thanks to the internet we are exposed to these things more easily, and they take a hold of our imagination, lives and politics far too easily too.
Almost feels like we're repeating the 1970's, doesn't it? As if we haven't learned anything from back then, like the importance of healthy boundaries. -

polarisera liked your post (polarisera@gleasonator.com)'s status on Wednesday, 24-Aug-2022 23:01:17 JST polarisera liked your post Apparently it goes all the way back to the 1970s, causing a rift in the Women's Lib movement then as well. The dick-bearing lesbians invading women's space has a long history. -

Have you been listening to No Agenda or something? My understanding is they've been saying it's the 70s again all year.

It's just uncanny with the similarities between the sexual revolution and what we have been experiencing now. When society breaks down, this may be a repeat of that. We can probably find other links to back then too. -

The sexual revolution had very little to do with acts of sex. It was a direct attack on religion and men with vast collateral damage for women and society.

sim@shitposter.club's status on Thursday, 25-Aug-2022 00:43:07 JST sim @Leyonhjelm @polarisera That is an interesting point, especially because it does seem to keep happening. I think it might be worse than this, I do wonder if say the world wars destroyed a whole generation of people. This could explain why tradition isn't being passed down and explained so well. You reach the current generations, they aren't being taught the importance of traditions. Like their parents or leaders in the institutions don't have a clue why it exists. If you aren't taught why it exists, why would you carry on that tradition? -

When Jordan Peterson debated Sam Harris years ago, he made a point that I think Peterson thought was weak but I thought it was the highlight of the debate. The proposition of modern secularism seems to be to take away things people have found valuable for generations and replace them with nothing, and that seems like a losing proposition. I see a lot of parallels to this in religious groups as well, where the tend is to throw out tradition without understanding why it exists.

I don't go to a Catholic church because I love the Pope. I go to a Catholic church because I'm a Christian and because I've seen where four centuries of "enlightened" protestants have brought us. Individually they are fantastic people, but what they've brought to the table is internal conflict in Christendom that is on the brink of destroying the West. I wish the Roman Church would turn back to tradition and stop trying to be more like the world. If that means I have to learn Latin I'd rather do that than fall into the trap of modernism.

GloboHomo put out of the actual fire a while, and people are soon gonna start complaining about things getting really cold.
