   OK. What is going on here?

   A bunch of people can see the posts sent out by @colours - but lots of people can't.

   As far as I can see, Mastodon.social isn't sending me back an HTTP response when I send to a shared inbox. But other Mastodon-based servers happily accept it.

   @SlicerDicer -- But you are overlooking the fact that there have been large hemp crops in the United States up through to the 1930's before Federal restrictions and eventual prohibition.

   The fact that TEXAS can't grow hemp doesn't mean that other parts of the US can't.

   As a former prohibition era grower, I can fully attest that growing with the heat and humidity in Texas, even indoors, is a lot harder than growing in Colorado with much milder temps and dry air (even indoors).

   Market definitions of social media exist. They are present in the antitrust investigations into Facebook in the EU, UK and USA, as well as the private and public litigation that followed from those investigations.

   Some definitional questions are, indeed, difficult.

   This one isn't.

   As to whether it's "sufficient to justify regulation," this question is also already settled, in that the EU passed the DMA and DSA with broad support, two years ago.

   We probably had a narrow window, no more than three decades, to try to transform our western democracies into something ecologically sustainable.

   But there were no short term profits in it, so we didn't.

   Today US voters condemned any land less than 8 meters above sea level, world-wide, because they think junk-food has become too expensive.

   I TOTALLY AGREE that's why I used the expression "homosexual acts". While I don't agree with those people way of life, I will NEVER disrespect, insult or punch 'em.
   In fact, I was one of the few, if not the only one, to be friendly&respectful towards "the faggot" (as he was called by many) in college. Many if not all were criticising him behind his back, I wasn't.

   As far as I can remember, I was even the only one that was often AND WILLINGLY eating with him at the refectory.
