As expected, given FDA's second-guessing itself a week after the fact back in June, mRNA vaccines have been approved in the U.S., but Novavax not as yet.
To be clear, despite all the noise about KP.2 (the FDA's second-guess target) at the time, now appears to have been flash in the pan—it & other FLiRT cluster variants being out-competed by FLuQE upstart:

Either way, JN.1 dynasty still reigns.
For now, KP.3 is closer to KP.2 than JN.1. Yet Pirola was unrelated to XBB.
