That being said, we can't base everything we say and do on how the wishes and needs of the worst people. We can't have a public discourse that's in essence controlled by fascists and grifters.
We can't give in to the "centrists" that say that we drive people to the right if we accurately describe what they say or do as fascism or grifts.
It's just valuable to understand how the grift works.
