If you're ever passing through Parkes NSW, you HAVE to take a quick detour to see Murriyang the radio telescope.
This telescope was used to receive images during the Apollo 11 moon landing, and was also features in the movie The Dish.
It's a nice ride out there too, with fields and bendy roads.
