   In this interview, Damon says Netflix suggested having an explosive moment in the opening to catch people's attention, Keep them watching.

   Then, sadly, there were further suggestions that the plot is reiterated several times within the film's dialogue, as people watching will be on their phones and won't be fully concentrating.

   In a move alarmingly close to outright chattel slavery, there is talk of ICE capturing immigrants and then •selling them back to their former employers•, presumably under much-worsened employment conditions.
