Two framed works of art by Ruth Asawa, one above the other, hanging on a museum gallery wall. The top piece is a series of alternating rows of blue and black squares made by the end of an old-style narrow rubber bike pedal. Each square has a hole in the middle and the edges have pointy features, which are the ridges of the rubber pedal. The other piece has oblong ovals of purple and orange shapes overlapping each other. A design made of branched lines with circles at the end of each line is in the middle of each print. The prints are made with a potato. Two small cards with information about the prints are next to the lower piece. The cards say that the works are by Ruth Asawa circa 1951-52, and are stamped in on paper. One is by a bike pedal and blue/black ink. The other says potato print branches, purple/orange.
