At Leverage, we used mostly Leverage techniques for this (charting, belief reporting, self-alignment technique and a bunch of others that were developed). The overarching objective was to discover and “update” deep irrationalities and eventually become a sort of Musk-level super-person (“attain Mastery” of a world-saving-relevant domain). Yes, people sometimes leaned on known techniques like IFS, but in my experience, those who did were sometimes criticized or demeaned. This work, when effective, usually resulted in significant belief, behavior, or somatic changes. I think we were cued into most of the same feedback mechanisms as self-transformative work in the normal world for measuring effectiveness.

never forget how this cult, exceptional only in its extremity, embodied the poisonously misguided conventional thinking of our current age, by elevating to godhood a man that many of us already knew was a fraud and a fool, and many more know now. never forget how much people equate wealth with intelligence and worthiness and how deeply that harms our society.
