   Applying for jobs lately and a bunch of them are either still listed online after their HR teams fill the position or they have an auto-reject function that automatically sends out an e-mail and tells you they've "decided to pursue other candidates" if HR doesn't check your application within 7 days

   I once spent SEVEN WEEKS jumping through hoops to get an otherwise great job, because there was constantly something coming up that left "key decision makers" out of the office
   
   I was in a pretty toxic job at the time so I didn't give a fuck about obviously interviewing elsewhere, but it was torturous having to go in four separate times and then waiting three weeks for the official hire green light
