Standing at the bottom of a set of spiral staircase looking directly up the tower in which they are set. Three distinct handrails twist upwards, one starting bottom right, one starting mid left, and one starting from the top centre as we look at it, all spiralling clockwise and rising up three storeys. There is a dim warmness to the tones low down in the tower with some short, vertical, tubular lighting in yellow, but the uppermost reaches of the tower are glaring and white, indicative of windows at the top letting in natural, bright light, although none can be seen from this angle. The walls of the tower are plain and off-white, while the sloping underside of the spiral stairs are lined with rough, brick-like patterns in beige.
