In the above thread, this comment from (what else?) a man, bears attention. He doesn't get, neither do others much in the replies (even if they are positive towards the woman in the picture), that:
1 - women sports journalists had to work, same as their male counterparts, and it was part of the glass ceiling. Some (namely Peter) still resent this, as I can see...
2 - maybe just to fuck with her, her boss sent her to interview hockey players just so she would resign, who knows... I read some stories from that era written by female sports journalists and all the crap they had to take from males, not just colleagues but athletes as well...
3 - if that case hadn't been heard, that meant that female sports journalists couldn't cover male sports, or they would have had to send in a male journalist to interview the athletes for them.
I know this is a touchy subject, guys, but please keep your brains in your head to see this for what it is? That's a good suggestion, right there, you're welcome...
