@adiz Every Mastodon quote will have a link pointing to a special "approval" object. Author of a quoted post can delete this object, thus revoking the approval.
As long as software knows about those approvals (and their revocations), quote controls can work. But not all projects are going to implement this, and of course nobody can prevent people from doing screenshots.
