   Like JKR, I only read a single novel by Neil Gaiman. I had a housemate who was really into him and he encouraged me to read "American Gods."

   I remember it being OK? Better than the one Harry Potter book I bothered to read.

   But I stopped having much interest in books that don't center female characters a long time ago and I prefer buying speculative fiction from female authors.

   So, I never bothered to read another one of his books (or another JKR/Harry Potter book either).
