In the face of the inaction and indifference of government officials at all levels, PSL members have joined in grassroots relief efforts to help working people survive in the face of the devastation. The Los Angeles branch of the PSL has been collecting and distributing donations and participating in the National Day Laborens Organizing Networks relief brigade in the areas most affected by the fue These efforts would not be necessary if we lived in a system where the needs of the people were planned for and provided. Driven only by the short-term interests of money-hungry corporations, authorities are failing the working class at the most critical moment
