# Genesis 31
The spotted and striped flock continues to grow and dominate. Laban's sons are pissed because Jacob is basically stealing all of their wealth since every decent animal is born with the criteria that Jacob and Laban agreed would go to Jacob. God tells Jacob it's time to skiddadle and they pack up and get ready. Jacob tells his wives that it's time to go, and they agree after noticing that all of their father's wealth is being transferred to Jacob despite Laban trying to cheat him. They head out via camels, as was the style at the time. Rachel stole their household gods (lol, LMAO) and Laban is big mad after finding out they left three days after the fact. He gathers his party before venturing forth and God shows up in a dream and tells him to be careful not to say anything good or bad to Jacob and not to harm him. That verse is odd to me, so I'm assuming it means "stick to the facts"? Laban then says they should make a covenant and not harm each other further and they both agree, building a pillar of stones and swearing an oath. The next morning, Laban says goodbye to his daughters and grandkids and blesses them and they all depart.
