The goal of my work isn’t to use one platform or the other. I don’t care what people use. The goal is for people to be free. I want tools so good that it doesn’t matter what platform one uses because they have the means to easily share what they want where ever and not be locked in anywhere. I want communities to decide on their own terms who gets access to their spaces and who doesn’t with tools they can control and manage rather than rely on a faceless mod team or ineffective systemic curation. We’re closer to this than we ever have been and that’s why I’ll never get tired of the work. It’s a great time for ideas because more and more people are open to something new. Ha, yeah it took the imploding of centralized social media to get here, but we are here and that’s pretty cool.

It's telling that Ro's claimed goals are the exact opposite of what he's actually doing.
Ro is implementing an ineffective, faceless mod tool outside of the control of fedi users.
