Video showing two feelers that should engage with the teeth of the gears but they're not engaging. You can see a very small gauge wire that should be doing something useful like keeping the feelers engaged with the gear teeth.

   So the thing that doesn't work reliably is blocking the film advance lever before the shutter has been activated. The problem would be advancing frames without exposing them first.

   There's a VERY tiny wire that should keep tension on the feelers (is that the right term) but I don't think I can access it properly without taking the body apart completely. This might be a good place to pause the repair thread and put the camera back together. /🧵
