   @ghouston @jwildeboer I guess that initial registration would need a valid ID in your scenario. The situation where you can get by with an expired one is when you are registered already and show up to cast the vote. At least within Dutch municipalities.

   It would be great if you could vote in the future, but you'd probably need to get at least a new Dutch ID card.
