I don't know of anyone who's doing subscriptions on the Fediverse anymore. sub.club made a good run of it, but I believe they've stopped.
So, nobody, right now. But the ecosystem needs this, and I'm hoping that many others will join the party in the future :)
@Gargron Fines won't cut it. What’s needed is a ban on their business operations in the EU.
Meta did this knowingly — fully aware of the law, the fines, and the technical barriers Android puts in place. They pushed through anyway, showing the kind of calculated disregard for rules that’s hard to see as anything but criminal.
They likely weighed the fines against the profits and went ahead. And they’ll do it again, just in a slightly different way.
This is not a company that learns or changes. They don’t respect the law, they don’t care about market rules — they care about control and profit, and they’ll keep pushing until they’re stopped.
So let's stop them.
But just to be clear, I don't have a problem with casting stones at christianity because it was casting stones at transfem kid me before I could even defend myself.
And it never really stopped.
So yeah, I feel well justified in lobbing a whole fucking quarry full of gravel and boulders in christianity's direction.
Does anyone know how well screenreaders handle unicode here? For a while I was using unicode on the other site to bold and italicize stuff, but someone pointed out that screenreaders trip over them there so I stopped.
So, for example if I do: "????" does that work?
