@Suiseiseki @bonkers @fluffy https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.txt no longer is the same thing that Stephan Zielinski wrote in the 1990s; the alteration is not noted. As you can gather from the abort() debacle, the FSF joke police contingent have been waiting in the wings to get rid of Stallman so that they can bowdlerize at will. At some point between https://web.archive.org/web/20200507133552/https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.html and https://web.archive.org/web/20200607140627/https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.html , they decided to do this:

It's shitty to censor someone else's jokes, but they didn't note the alteration, they didn't change the attribution, just really snakey shit.

@MisterRogersSnapped @Zergling_man @dcc @goo @j @shibao I should probably mention that this is copypasta: https://web.archive.org/web/20121018125753/https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/ed-msg.html
While I'm on the topic, the GNU website appears to be down, at the moment, but archive links are preferable anyway: they have taken to retroactively editing things without noting the edit or altering the attribution, so I have no idea who censored the "Know your Unix System Administrator" piece, but on May 30, 2020 (not too long after they kicked :rms: out), someone removed some words from https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.txt , so the Last-Modified header on that URL reads "Sat, 30 May 2020 10:54:03 GMT" and https://web.archive.org/web/20200507133552/https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.html differs from https://web.archive.org/web/20200507133552/https://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/know.your.sysadmin.html . It is one thing to edit someone's jokes retroactively (I don't think it should be done; I don't even like that they changed the quote style), but they don't even note that they edited it anywhere, and that part is kinda infuriating.
