A mural in a McDonald’s. Words can’t do it justice. The characters lounge lasciviously in a rural Washington landscape. Ronald is milking a cow. Grimmace is thicc. The lighting and rendering and hatching are so lush and full of character & love.

   Cabel Sasser took us on a whole journey, telling the story of discovering an artist — Wes Cook — via an absurdly lovingly crafted mural in a McDonalds in rural Washinton and discovering that he doesn’t have a wikipedia page. Then he stumbled into buying Cook’s entire life work via an ebay auction, and learned so much about a man with a massive body of work (including concepts for many still-standing amusement park attractions) who could have easily been forgotten.
