The photo shows a large, dark brownish bowl with a mound of open shijimi clam shells supported by a mass of wakame kelp and sliced negi onions emerging from a slightly clouded clear soup with steamy vapours obscuring the small patch of ramen noodles which are poking through the surface of the soup. Next to bowl of ramen is a smaller empty white ceramic bowl with a small white ladle for scooping out emptied clam shells.
