Hello! I can answer that question: it's the antiblackness. That's why there's so few Black folks here. Whiteness provides a lot of comfort and protection for most users on the fediverse (no matter how sensitive they are) and nothing but punishment and isolation for ones who aren't white, ESPECIALLY if they are Black.
Unfortunately for you, your post also falls under the antiblack category. What you're doing is something I was making fun of in this post:
https://blackqueer.life/@tillshadeisgone/112173544371296122
To wit, the fedi lacks the extra protections (such as a base level universally applicable deny list that is easy and readily available for new server admins to use that includes the Nazi instances etc) that would make it safer for Black users like Kim, so they wouldn't have to resort to all of these patchwork individual measures such as filtering, muting, blocking, etc just to be able to experience the fediverse without experiencing racism, something that ALL white users are able to do without doing any extra work.
Robust moderation and actual safety tools that Black folks have been asking for since years before I ever joined the fedi should be built into the digital infrastructure and users deserve robust moderation on top of that. The fact that most instances lack these things is precisely why white users of many different marginalizations flourish here but most Black folks barely come or usually show up and quickly leave.
All the while, white users are free to remain clueless about the whole thing while enjoying the fedi in ignorance while Black folks are left trying to explain all of that to people who, as often as not, don't actually want to learn about it for convenience's sake.
So, hopefully that clears some things up.
