@NonPlayableClown None of this looks like it passes the level e-drama except a couple of points.
> >Sperg.city being reported to their data center.
There's no context there: that guy didn't go after people's jobs, or dox their families, or try to get KF kicked off the internet. That guy didn't spend his time trying to report people to their hosting companies, he never said that this was a justifiable thing to do. He didn't dox anyone's mom and she didn't get swatted the next day. Just out of nowhere and for no reason, the guy got reported to his hosting company, the sort of thing Ralph would *never* do.
I don't know if graf reported the guy or not, but don't pretend it came out of nowhere, or that the guy that reported everyone to their hosting providers had a right to complain that it was used on him. I don't do that, I don't recommend it, I don't think it's a good idea, but it's not like a guy can kick a another guy in the nuts and then complain if the guy kicks him in the nuts.
> >Threatening users who charge back on a donation
"What should we do with someone that does a fraud chargeback?" is not even a threat. This one boils down to a complaint about mean words on the internet.
I was present for the thing that caused this remark. A chargeback is already enough of a pain, but filing a chargeback and listing "fraud" as the reason is serious. Filing a chargeback, listing "fraud" as the reason, then re-running the charge, then filing another chargeback, then re-running the charge and filing another chargeback, and then repeating the process a hundred times is not something you do by accident. It's pretty clearly an attempt to get a bank account frozen. "graf said mean words on the internet when someone tried to get his bank account frozen." Holy shit, stop the goddamn presses, people need to know about this serious crime!
> >Lying about someone hosting CP
Trollcow's nudes. In order to lie, you have to believe that what you are saying is false. She says she was underage when the photos were taken, and to even get to someone claiming otherwise, you have to go through 680 pages of KiwiFarms bullshit with the slow-ass page load and their shitty phpBB loading 10 posts at a time, 8 of which are people in the thread bickering with other people in the thread about unrelated shit or posting "lol", and that's if you can go straight through without getting stuck waiting for your browser to mind enough XMR for Crunk. I've tried to read KF (I got really interested in the byuu thing, because people kept insisting KF had to be removed from the internet and screaming that no one was allowed to ask questions), and it is painful. And once you go through enough of it, you get to hear that some people have drawn enough red circles and lines over collages of screenshots of posts to convince themselves that she's just trying to remove her nudes from the internet and is not underage in the photos. So you say "That's CP" and like 20 guys go "How are you not up to date on the LORE about everyone we have decided to follow around the internet? What a loser! Meds, schizo!" and then one guy, trying to be helpful, says "I think I saw somewhere that she wasn't underage but I don't remember what page it was on".
This one, like the other two, appears to be presented out of context and exaggerated. To say it's a lie, you've got to say that he knows about both versions--that Trollcow claims she was underage and that other people claim she was not--and you've also got to say that he believes (or at least believed when he made the remark) the people claiming she was over 18 were correct. I don't know how old she was (just that Gleason, ostensibly completely opposed to pornography, remains happy to host something that was presented as revenge porn and is at least revenge porn, if not CP; it is odd how many people that hate graf wash up on gleasonator.com, but that's a separate issue), I don't really care. I do know, though, if someone that isn't familiar with the Trollcow thing, there's not enough context to figure out that it is about the Trollcow thing, and that there's another key piece of this information missing: people on both Kiwi Farms and alogs.space spend hours and hours declaring that Poast is full of CP and is a "pedophile network", because drawings of anime girls are real to people that do not .
> "this is what bot and his friends do to me btw"
He's right. What do you want?
I haven't seen anything new. Most of the complaints are about mean words graf said on the internet, and it rubs me the wrong way for people to cry foul over mean words graf said on the internet while simultaneously claiming that graf takes mean words on the internet too seriously. Every complaint that I looked at seems to be presented selectively, devoid of context: "he punched a guy in the face!" while omitting that the guy was drunk and brandishing a knife. Most of them seem like a stretch: "If you're gonna talk to that guy, untag me or I'll block you" does not seem to me to be threatening people that talk to you, it seems like the same type of shit that prompted me to write the Iron Dome MRF.
There are things graf has done that I disagree with (and of course plenty of things that I have done that he doesn't like) but, aside from the e-drama, you've presented a series of actions that, even where I disagree, seem justified. This is exactly why I am so very tired of hearing about this stuff: it's almost always like that. I've heard people reasonably criticize the guy (you can reasonably criticize anyone) but I haven't ever heard a single reason for the "sound the alarms!" bullshit, I haven't heard a reason to single him out. When I talk to him on IRC, he's in there wrenching on the DB, he's trying to fix the Matrix server, he's trying to make the CDN faster, he's found a deal on dedis, and then he shitposts on fedi and eight people declare him the antichrist, and I have never seen a good reason to single him out, I have never seen anyone explain why they were hounding him the second he arrived on fedi (which means that anything he has done *since* getting here is irrelevant), or why they have such a huge problem with him that they're willing to stretch claims well past credibility.
Not to say that you are in on it, and I can understand not liking the guy (I think he's pretty cool), but either there is a large number of lunatics with a fixation on him (one that pre-dates Poast) and this is driving some mass psychosis ("graf derangement syndrome" :trumpgendou:), or, in the more likely case, there's a motivation that people are not willing to disclose in public.
