I will not be a part of the human medium which transmits that violence forward. I refuse to be another gear in the human machinery of oppression. Although fear, vengeance, a longing for safety, & a bond with others like me might make such things tempting, in the end, no one comes out of this alive. It dawns on me that people might wonder if I'm drawing a personal comparison with Jews, as a hated group who have faced state sponsored genocide, or Palestinians, as a hated group who currently faces state sponsored genocide when I penned this.
My answer is: both.
