   Some people's biggest fear is that their social media profile will come across as too negative, if they have a tendency to use it primarily for venting. I actually have the opposite fear, that I'll come across as too positive, as if my life is absolutely super perfect. Especially because most people come to me for my "positive" art.

   I need y'all to know that that is definitely NOT the case, those of you following me will know since I will sometimes vent about my feelings (under a CW of course). I often encounter a lot of negative feelings, some more apparent than others, some reflect deeper issues in me while others are merely just temporary one-off situational things.

   My point is that I want to have a positive presence on the Fediverse but I don't want to look like a perfect dragon that has no issues whatsoever and never experiences any negative feelings. I just want to be a living example of how life can have ups but also have downs on occasion. That's all. I don't expect everyone to read my MH posts, I'm surprised at the amount of people that do. For those of you that have chipped in, thanks :dragnheart:

   Did some more indicator stuff this week and took a detour into trying to make the upgrade path for Bluetooth indicator easier which took me into some other Bluetooth things.

   My little Friday Funday project today was a redesign for Bluetooth Settings! This uses some new Gtk4 features for dealing with ListModels and should improve screen reader accessibility: https://github.com/elementary/switchboard-plug-bluetooth/pull/246

   Do you remember which ones you had liked?

   My first favorite was "Joy of Cooking." People sneer at it, but it tells you how to do things.

   My least favorite was the one I bought when leaving for college.
   Catch a deer, skin it, cook it.
   Um, not enough details there for a new cook who had a single 2 qt. pot, one knife, one stir spoon.

   I'm seeing that link about an Airbnb founder going DOGE alongside a call for a boycott, and I'm really wishing more people had paid attention to the actual track record of these early self-acknowledged disruptive companies and helped strangle them long before they amassed the power to actually harm things.

   My first assignment in my public policy masters program ten years ago(!) was loosely on Airbnb's business model, and even back then it was abundantly clear that it was going to destroy housing markets and communities for almost exclusively shareholder benefit.

   My husband's family are usually pretty great, but we're on a trip together, and I'm starting to see why he has stress and anxiety around certain things.

   My family had some real issues when I was growing up...but the concept of "everyone has mental and emotional needs that should be taken seriously,l"—while not always perfectly executed—was at least generally accepted (not by my older sister, but she's a piece of work).

   Can't believe I never did an #introduction

   I'm Ishambard, 34, from England.
   Life-long gamer who is currently running riot on games from childhood and general oddities I find online. Will often toot about things I have recently beaten on RetroAchievements with my thoughts on them.

   Massive Nintendo fan, 90s anime fan, and manga reader. Wannabe creative person of sorts who will sometimes bake or make something when time is available.

   A lot of my personal time is taken up by recording low effort Let's Plays and uploading these to YouTube, as I don't have a consistent schedule to be a streamer. I mostly play things that are of interest to me and want to share, sometimes classic things and sometimes really weird obscure things.
