I totally get that. I do a canned podcast, for which
Ardour on Linux works great for me.
If I were a musician / mixer / masterer I may feel differently.
I just think it's cool that the Linux audio software is much better than it was just a few years back.
As for the stack devs I don't really have an opinion as I don't follow what's going on there.
In ~2009 I was interviewed on video for something intended to go public, related to this conference we used to have for Microsoft Exchange that was canceled in the early 2000s and was being brought back.
As part of the process for all these behind-the-scenes interviewers, they had a person whose job it was to make us nerds relax on camera.
So the interviewer’s technique for doing this was to tell everyone a joke up front to get them laughing on camera (and get some good b-roll).
