   For the record, the very reasonable thing I’m trying to do is to have the layout on in image 1 responsively turn into the layout in image 2 when the screen is wide enough. This is, AFAICT, completely impossible without either doing JS DOM manipulation or just duplicating all the markup. If anybody knows a way to do this without heinous trickery, please feel free to wow me in the replies.
