In the left of the frame, a pair of orange upside down "u" shapes emerge from an emerald colored lake and plant themselves into an ice-crusted bank. Part of the top run of the ladder is visible through the ice. The ladder is supposed to be hazard-cone orange, but the paint has peeled exposing raw steel and some other colors. The shoreline snakes up toward the right side of the image, separating lake on the left from ice on the right. As the shoreline extends into the distance it gets lost in the fog and eventually fades to gray. Nothing is visible in the sky. It is a foggy gray nothingness.
