Just a thought, as someone who is neurodivergent and has been a remote worker for 3 years, I am now returning to the office. Most of these 'behaviors' are me being completely unmasked. Having masked my entire life in front of everyone, watching and managing every little micro word and movement, I didn't realize how exhausting it was until I started to work from home, and I could unmask completely. Having now been my authentic and still professional self for 3 years, trying to go back to the office and put the mask back on is daunting and nearly impossible. A charm school or class won't fix that. Working remotely is what allowed me to not get neurodivergence burnt out. Maybe the actual answer is for bosses to assess their team and find the best working environment and style for the team, not some charm school of behaviors that CEOs deemed appropriate that they learned in the latest professional MBA business conference. If we learned anything from Covid and remote work, it's that we are HUMAN first. Charm class feels like taking a step back into dehumanization of the workplace.
