Photo of a strawberry field, that's mostly covered in a weather cover (looks like a giant field-sized white tarp) for the winter. It keeps the plants a little warmer so they ripen fruit earlier in spring. Nate is crouched down on the ground in the foreground (on the left half the photo) where the tarp ends, & pulled up the edge of it to show a couple plants growing in black plastic mulch. They're large second-year plants that have grown to have multiple crowns per hole. (Most farms pull out strawberry plants after one year.) I'm bending down (right half of the photo) to get a better look and pointing at something on the plants.
