Hi Tim Thanks for writing. The way we think of it is we use technologies, not partner with people or their opinions. We do not discriminate against anyone, and to humanize the web is make the web more humane. What I agree with is that Brendan’s biggest contribution to society (JavaScript) has been used as a tool to allow massive deployment of ads/tracking on the web and this is what we are up against. But we are against it based on the merit of technology, not blaming the person that invented it. Should we not be buying VW, BMW, Siemens and Bayer technology and products today because they participated in holocaust and directly collaborated with Hitler? This same line of reasoning would lead to word where you can not use anything but live stranded on a mountain, because every part of every device or produce today can be linked back to a person doing horrible things. This is why I do not think these arguments go anywhere and decisions we make strictly focus on the merit of technology and its benefit to our users. Thanks, Vlad
