A piece of OSB subflooring has been removed from a 2nd storey nook to reveal that 2 of the supposed supporting beams underneath simply end in the middle of the gap.

   @emilygorcenski Your silly flipped floors remind me of my silly flipped floors. Flippers turned the attic of my house into a second story and it turns out that was a bad plan, executed badly. Note that the top horizontal beam was cut *along its length* to fit between the old attic hardwood and the new osb subfloor. The middle one, which terminates in midair prior to the wall, was supported from underneath. The nearest one (flat 2x4 on the insulation) isn't supported...it just bounces....
