Seeing the word Zionist become the let's new Nazi is a fucking heartbreak. This word that the disconnected world thinks is a word we use to self identify, a word that Israelis use in every day language - is one I have only heard a few times my entire life until the current war. I'm Israeli Jewish and I've heard this word most in negative context by white people who never even stepped on the country of Israel or the territory of Palestine. With that said, the few times I've heard it in where all beautiful. Zionism is not about occupation. Occupation was never a goal. Zionism is not about one group being better than another - simply put Zionism is the dream of Jews returning to our historic home land where we will finally, finally be safe.

Zionism is a word myself, an Israeli Jew, almost entirely only ever heard by people in the west. It's honestly hilarious how all those people are so disconnected they got this very basic thing wrong, in the same way they think Palestine is an Arabic word (a language that has no P sound)... They also get the entire idea of Zionism wrong and think Israelis actually use this word. 🤣
I only heard it a few times my whole life until this war.
