@ekis After Jacinda Ardern stepped down, one Chris Hipkins took her place distancing himself from her popular policies. Whilst their opposition is working to give the impression that she wasn't popular. Quite a rightwing PM for NZ's standards.
So when the election rolled around we had our choice of Prime Minister, as long as his name was Chris. The numbers are quite clear: People voted for anyone but Hipkins, or they didn't vote.
Economics 101 lesson here from the RBA. More people means increased demand. Increased demand means higher prices. Higher prices means lower living standards.
So remind me again, why is immigration supposedly good and necessary?
