   "The Mississippi Republican Party files 'urgent and necessitous' matter with Mississippi Supreme Court to vacate a lower court order extending voting in Hinds County until 8 PM because of a huge ballot shortage that’s kept voters in line for hours."

   Hinds, the most populous county in Mississippi with a 2020 census population of 227,742, is 69.2% African American.
