WhatsApp is (in bad faith) notifying EU users of changes to their privacy policy regarding “legitimate interest” under GDPR.

    Why bad faith?

    1. The FAQ page about the changes requires you to accept cookies, and the “Learn more” button only tells you how to disable cookies entirely in browser settings.

    2. The option to object to “legitimate interest” processing requires you to give your email along with your WhatsApp number so they can “get in touch”.
