   Ok, it is in fact horrifying that the US Empire is starting a completely unjustified war & murdering people for no reason.

   It is not, however, a new thing that hasn't happened before.

   It feels like some people are more horrified by the fact that the Trump regime didn't bother manufacturing a "reason" to bomb Iran than they are by the fact they bombed Iran, you know?

   Like, "oh whoa, normally I'm a big fan of the US military, but THIS is a step too far."

   Let's see if I can shake off some more followers.

   The purpose of Trump's arbitrary and ever-changing tariffs is to enrich Trump.

   Period.

   That is the entire reason.

   It's not strategy. It's not about balance.

   The tariffs are there so Trump can be bribed to make exceptions to them.

   About a quarter million dollars bribe to Trump per exception, going by reports.

   America is a mafia state. Mafia states only progress in one direction.

   @libreoffice Feature Request: Please Please Please we need an option to make "Paste Unformatted Text" as ne normal Ctrl+v action.

   At least for me, This is what I want in 99,99% of all cases! I can't even think who wants paste formatted for a good reason.

   It really sucks and it does... ughh, think like since StarOffice 4 or 5 ?

   @SeaFury hmmm....very strange.

   I have noticed in the past that there's some Fedi platforms that allow adding hashtags that don't show on mastodon for some reason.

   It's not often, but it does happen to me sometimes.

   Maybe that's the case here.🤔

   @melissawm It does matter, but for another reason.

   It moves the ”overton window” of accepted civilized behaviour.
   It encourages people you didn’t know were nazis to be so more openly.

   More encouragement translates to more harrassment & violence.
   Fascism stays down only because we beat it down.
   It rises again when it’s not being beat down anymore.

   This state we were in, it was earned and upkept, an uphill battle was fought for it. Going back is going down, so it’s quick & fast.
