I feel pretty disposable in most elections regardless of who is personing the top of the Dem ticket.
I think that has been made quite clear this time around.
So, a little dread seems like a natural response.
But Han can't help being monogamous, it's the way he is. He can't be in love with LK & at the same time be cool with LK fucking around.
So there's an on-again off-again primary relationship between Han & LK, and no configuration that is entirely satisfactory to everyone involved.
Han & LK can be:
- together & exclusive (no-one else gets any LK action)
- together & not exclusive (which distresses Han, & thereby distresses LK)
- not together (intolerable for both, cos soulmates)
There are no 'little things'
I wanna talk about bigotry.
I wanna specifically talk about racism.
More specifically, WS racism.
I also wanna talk about enablement and escalation.
Now, many people live in places that are very yt.
And there's a sorta background hum of racism all around.
So by *default*, WS racism is already enabled.
Now. The quick answer to solvin that is yt people sittin there, shuttin up, havin a think, listening and doing better.
Not 'tryin ta do better'. Just gettin on with the job and doin better.
And bein a lot fuckin quicker about it than is currently the case. Cause people are waitin.
The other, which is gonna have to be an ongoing thing until said Doing Better finally gets round to happening is this:
Isolatin the danger.
Racism, given even an inch, spreads.
It's already there in big supply, but it also spreads.
Every time a yt person says:
"oh they're takin liberties"
or
"oh they're too aggressive"
or
"something needs to be done about..."
You're enabling and escalating.
And it don't even start with that. It starts with what someone who ain't marginalised by racism thinks of as 'just a little thing'.
There ain't no 'little things' when it comes to this.
Cause what starts with "you people" enables more racism. Within themselves, with those around em, and soon enough, wouldn't ya know, here come the fascists jackbootin down the street and people tryin ta survive and already exhausted now got another thing to fight off.
And you think they stop at bein racist? Baby, what planet are you on?
A narrow mind, a broad escalation. Enabled.
I live in an area that's multicultural, working-class.
And when racists come down this street? Everyone available leaves their house, goes out on the street, and sees em off. And anybody at home when others are at work, do that work, cause that's the *only* way you keep that shit at bay.
And keep people safe.
And do ya know, it's always preceded by some racist bullshit, in the press or wherever.
Enabled.
And I remember a bigger city than the one I'm in now. Same kinda areas.
You ever been in a brawl? A riot? Ever seen a nailbomb go off? Y'know, when some nazi feels enabled enough and emboldened enough to try and cause casualties cause it ain't yt enough, or cishet enough for em, or just don't fit into their narrow worldview?
Cause they was enabled by the privileged.
Every advocation for bigotry, every slur or dogwhistle, every moment of inaction, every one of them things, is adding, piece by piece, to that event.
So you shut it down. You shut it down. And maybe somebody learns something. Maybe a bigot learns how to stop bein a bigot.
But in the meantime, the top priority is keepin marginalised people safe.
So bigots can do their 'learnin' off in their own damn corner until they learn how to behave. Until they notice the results of their actions.
If they even care to try and learn.
There are no 'little things'.
Just the seeds of bigger ones.
Imagine if the #Philippines and South #Korea form a Confederacy. Then later it gets upgraded to a Federation.
Maybe before it's upgraded into a Federation, #Japan joins the Confederacy.
The #AsiaPacific region will change drastically. We can even become the power that balances the influence of China in the region.
Even if it is just the Philippines and South Korea. These two countries have many parallels and similarities from culture to traditions to past experiences. They both have differences too that each can help the other to overcome.
We normally think the Philippines and Korea are too diverse and have nothing to share to each other, but if we look deeper, it's the other way around.
So, if the Philippines and South Korea form a Confederacy, I think and I believe they can change the region for the better.
Is not that the ultimate goal of the “East Asian Community” proposed in the ASEAN+3+3 (or ASEAN+6) summits?
