an absolutely ferocious-looking lizard, with spikes absolutely all over it's body. very scary; except that it is being held by a human hand, and can't possibly be more than 10 cm long. adoralble. absolutely adorable.

   the thorny devil in Australia is an example of convergent evolution – it evolved the same properties and abilities as the horned lizard.

   the coolest thing is that it drinks with the help of the capillary effect: it stands in a a damp place, and moisture is transported up it's body, under the armour, and into it's mouth.

   love that guy.
