Well, i didn't have "go onstage with the musicians at a Thai classical recital at a temple fair" on my to-do list. But a 7th Dan web standards wanker is prepared for anything and, using all my abilities with the 7 pitch equidistant scale and the fine art of brazening it out, i reckon i have a few converts to accessibility.
In the night market, chomping my deep fried bamboo worns and Durian, and I noticed 3 friends cooking food together: a Thai Muslim lady, a lady in traditional dress and a northern Thai lady.
Tonight I'm eating Amok - a seafood curry with basil, lime leaves and crunchy veg served in a coconut. I've had it often in Cambodia but never Thailand. But I'm not from the Cambodian border and half the staff are Khmer, so it makes sense.
Then I went to the dentist (it's much cheaper than UK and my UK appointment was cancelled 90 mins in advance after a 4 month wait). Then, to reward myself for my bravery, I squandered £10 on a 2 hour full body massage, then valiantly had some more Khao Soi noodles (from a place run by some hill-tribe students who rarher charmingly added edible flowers to the dish) and then a beer. Gruelling day.
Breakfast was half a spicy-marinaddd grilled chicken', sticky rice and a fresh salad made by this lady in her roadside shack, across the fabled Bridge of Health and Safety guarded by her cat. The bill was £2.
Arrived exhausted in Bangkok b/c I chatted the whole way with my seat companions. 1 was a banknote consultant on his way to a conference in Sri Lanka, one was a young Muslim bloke from Leicester who was taking his family to Mecca, and whose wife kept us well-fed on home-cooked spicy veg samosa baps from a seemingly inexhaustible supply. Had a fabulous 2 hr massage and now a cold beer as a restorative before deciding from the myriad street food options in Ratchetewi, my old neighbourhood.
"Hackers can force iOS and macOS browsers to divulge passwords and much more iLeakage is practical and requires minimal resources. A patch isn't (yet) available." i hasten to add that I'm not the applicant; I started a new job just last week. (And if it were me, I wouldn't have spared the org's modesty by blurring out the email address)
Of employers who forced staff back to the office, 42% said "attrition" was higher than normal, 21% said the move had actually lost them some of their "key" staff. 29% were now "struggling" to recruit altogether. Ha ha ha. https://www.theregister.com/2023/06/29/wfh_rto_survey/
Why am I so wearily unsurprised that this bloke busted by the BBC for making videos of torturing monkeys by snipping their fingers off has a confederate flag and a MAGA flag? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-65951188
