(although, "coated with a fine dust of Asbestos and mold spores" is a real risk)

So... you may think pets-as-food is ridiculous and funny, but it perpetuates racist tropes and some poor kid somewhere is getting in a fight about it.

Head's up: people thinking it's funny to post pets-as-food memes as being funny and ridiculous, do it somewhere else. Having been in fistfights with other kids when I was a kid about my family's food heritage, it's not funny. Most folks are posting "this is funny, how could anyone think people eat pets, that's ridiculous" -- but the consequences of repeating those jokes are real, especially for kids.
