@Jerm Bray Wyatt was before I got into wrestling, so I only knew of the legend and his dope return. Since then it has been underwhelming and that spooky factor feels hard to buy in matches, like you said. Hope he can turn it around for me, though.

I mean, at this point I don't even know this man's motivation. What are these guys doing? Where's the story?

@nicktylwalk The thing that makes this angle weird for me is that this whole time I've been rooting for Cody to win the title and honor his dad. That was compelling enough.

But then Cody validates the idea that that his dad didn't respect his wrestling career, so now he needs to win the title... to prove his dad wrong? Just seems like a weird next step from where we started.
