the future is already here it is just not evenly distributed--the vision of the nationalist internationale is to turn the world into an archipelago of gaza strip sacrifice zones and zionist luxury fortress settlements

what gets missed so often in talks about online radicalization--eg youtube recommendations--is that the people getting radicalized already had pre existing reactionary inclinations and inhibitions which pulled them into making their first step down the rabbit hole and lubricated the pipeline thereafter

what the radicalization process did was give self awareness, ideological coherence, social connection, and concrete political form to their libidinal turbulence of unprocessed emotions and unconscious desires

by contrast many other people unsuspectingly encountered the same propaganda and were immediately repulsed and had an instinctive suspicion of what was really going on

ie radicalization is more of a search, selection, developmental, and evolutionary process of pliable potential candidates than one of indoctrination or 'brainwashing' or otherwise normal people

so yes that person was always a fascist at some level but they did not know it at the time and their experience with cryptofascist memes helped them realize who they were politically and where their allegiances lie

so 'radicalization' is basically the rightwing version of gaining class consciousness (via binge watching hate bait and lurking) but for the white settler petite bourgeoisie

'For some, there is certainly some sadistic fun in being in bad faith in this manner. For others, it’s just self-deception. Sometimes this self-deception takes the form of “It’s actually more complicated than that.” There’s lots of little scholastic and pedantic distinctions to be debated to veil the underlying reality: “Oh, this isn’t that, it’s actually “Traditionalism,” or its “Nietzschean vitalism.” Or, maybe it’s simply a provocation: “Oh, even though X says they are ‘fascist’” that’s only to troll the libs, etc.” The problem with that is that the adoption of political attitudes solely for the feeling of power they give or their ability to menace one’s enemies runs pretty close to a good definition of fascism itself. In any case, there is always lot of enjoyment in it. In many cases, the line between a frat boy who badly wants to say the n-word because its naughty and makes him feel good and these sorts of people is virtually non-existent.'

    like abortion, divorce is beautiful

like how every abortion is an exercise in bodily autonomy and emancipation from biological constraint, every divorce is an exercise in freedom of dissociation and the dissolution of a social bond that is no longer voluntary

the marriage contract is a tacit declaration that one or both partners will eventually wish to leave the relationship--to withdraw their consent--but must be forced to stay by legal impediment, moralizing stigma, or communitarian dictatorship eg the insidious concept of 'community consent'

'Public apologies or confessions are usually not apologies at all. They are political statements: they employ powers of rhetoric to rally one’s crowd, to gain public support. And in Hanania’s case it’s apparently having the desired effect. His goal is not to express regret or contrition, but to burnish his reputation and advance his career, which was at risk of being damaged by this affair. Through the employment of a few mawkish clichés, he’s able to wring victory out of defeat: he turns it into a story of personal redemption and growth. The fact that this sorry and meager attempt garners such applause does not recommend either the moral or literary condition of our society.'

'the “statistical” and “scientific” turn of his racism does not make better: it makes it far worse. This is what makes it go from mere prejudice, which can be unlearned through experience, to the basis of an entire ideology. This is truly pernicious. By taking on the air of scientific authority, racism goes from being hot blooded to cold blooded, a matter of premeditation. It thereby becomes an engineered device for the systematic denigration of the dignity and worth of other human beings. Through this trick, it sneaks from the back alley into the parlor and becomes the subject of polite and “educated” dinner conversation. It makes it an appealing ideology not just for the mob but for the bourgeoisie. And, most disturbingly, it is how it becomes becomes policy.'

the desantis campaign staff debacle is but one example of how the alt right successfully colonized the youth wing of the conservative movement so that now the republican party cant find any young apparatchiks or junior court intellectuals who arent terminally online crypto fascist dorks and douches who secretly share nazi memes with each other

psa--please for the love of god stop citing that noxious gutter comedy idiocracy as a prescient satire of trumpism

the central premise of idiocracy is an old school eugenicist belief in the congenital inferiority of the poor and the existential societal threat posed by their licentiousness and unchecked procreation

the opening sequence is a deracinated white nationalist apocalypse fantasy wherein 'high iq' white men have been 'cucked' by feminism into not having children while 'low iq' welfare royalty have been allowed to 'breed like rabbits' crowding out the gene pool and leading to the fall of western civilization

the film has been promoted by the alt right for its sensationalist, alarmist, pseudoscientific depiction of demographic trends and population genetics, and is practically a hollywood adaptation of charles murray's ominous bell curve prophecies

the ideology of demographic anxiety and population replacement that underpins the movie is the exact same ideology that undergirds the very retrograde populism the film supposedly lampoons

the vast majority of human trafficking is in ordinary migrant labor not sex work

the typical trafficked person is a construction or farm worker

sex trafficking is overrepresented and sensationalized for its salaciousness and racialized moral panicky undertones

like drug addiction and illegal immigration, human trafficking is a problem entirely caused and worsened by the very policies meant to fight it--state restrictionism, criminalization, policing and incarceration, moralizing and stigma, legalism, paternalism, escalatory punitive force, fixation on 'bad guys' etc

interestingly the first and second klans had different social bases, more so because the european counterparts of which would form the mass base of fascism

the first klan was like a southern freikorps of formally demobilized confederate soldiers, world historicly traumatized on civil war battlefields as wwi veterans were in the trenches, and berserking against a cataclysmic emancipatory revolution--the end of racial slavery in america and the high tide of communism in europe

the second klan was like a nationwide country club for rural, small town elites and the future suburban middle class, which is how the nazi party would function for rustic german professionals, shopkeepers, and nationalistic yeoman whom marx called pejoratively the reactionary peasantry

the fact that these two social formations did not coincide historically in america as they did in interwar europe partly explains why classical fascism never emerged in the us
