Me finding out HRT is a thing in 2015 at the age of 35: “oh this is really fucking cool, too bad I’m not #trans because this sounds fucking awesome.”

I literally thought that.

I was, like, Inception level deep in denial. ?

Me: “No more shopping for feminine clothes until you come out.”

Me after coming out:

Being a somewhat new #trans woman is constantly asking myself when dealing with any (usually unnecessarily) gendered thing: “is this a thing I like, or is it a thing I like because society has conditioned women to like the thing.”

I have so much unhealthy envy towards people who innately “know” themselves or figure themselves out early in life.

I’ll be 42 in a few months and I’m still struggling.

I’m in Tennessee. I’m wearing fem clothing. I’m AMAB.

Pretty soon this could be a crime.

Guess I’ll be an illegal girl then. ?♀️

Hands down one of the best things about Mastodon is all the wonderful #Trans people I’ve met around my age. Especially fellow late blooming sisters and brothers. Y’all are making it so much easier to face this just by existing and I love all of you so much.
